2011: a year in review.
Back in January, I spent some time at home in New York City before returning to San Francisco. I also went to see my sister, the middle of us three girls - she lives in Boston - months before she would be engaged. I remember that KUSF was sold upon my return to New York, a radio station whose shirts I used to sell at events.

It’s one in the morning, or maybe four in the morning - I’m not sure where in the country we are, miles and miles overhead - and the bitch next to me is five drinks deep, singing “Someone Like You” on some warped continuous loop, and jumping over my lap to get to the bathroom at the back of the plane. What little sleep I get is between verses.
